The tenth unit has two different videos that demonstrate the same English lesson being taught at two different levels of effectiveness. The first video lesson is quite ineffective because the teacher is clearly not excited and engaged in teaching, so the students are not excited either. The second lesson shows students active and excited about learning, in large part because the teacher is clear with directions, is happy to be teaching students, and is good about giving examples that are easy to understand. I learned how much a teacher has to play a role in the student's learning -- even if the lesson is difficult, it is up to the teacher that the students learn and up to the teacher to slow down or explain things in another way so that students can understand the material.
