In this unit, we learned how to teach vocabulary, grammar and functions, and which ESA methods maybe better approach for each of the teaching areas. With regard of teaching vocabulary, we learned factors can affect the level of difficulty, the criteria of choosing vocabulary to teach, 6 aspects of teaching vocabulary, and there are some techniques that we can use. About the grammatical structures, we need to teach well on 4 aspects-meaning, use, etc. We also learned the aspects of teaching techniques about grammatical structures. Function is very important and essential in language teaching.
In my opinion, a great effort is needed to put the knowledge learned in this unit into practice. Every word, grammatical structure and function is easy or difficult, largely depending on how the teachers teach. Therefore, a great number of experiences is well needed to teach well in those areas.
