After watching the two video demonstrations certain key principles have been emphasised. Firstly that the class teacher is responsible for setting a warm, caring, nurturing learning atmosphere. Monitoring skill and readiness levels of the class requires close monitoring and for the teacher to be both receptive and receptive. Teachers need to be student focused, encouraging and praising their students using material and learning experiences that are well paced and appropriate to need. Encouraging students to engage, study and activate their learning is complex, planning appropriately using a range of classroom management techniques promotes effective teaching and learning.
