This unit gives a great insights into why we must lesson plan, what we must include in our lesson plans, and how we can make them flexible. This unit also gives great examples of lesson plans and lesson materials. I would have liked to see the exact materials for the example lesson plan, instead of one example of a lesson plan followed by the materials for a different lesson plan as is displayed here. I think that would have clarified how materials relate to the ESA outline. Regardless, I still found this unit as a very helpful introduction to lesson planning. I think objectives could have been covered a little more here (unless there are covered in detail in a following unit). This unit didn't discuss how objectives must contain strong, measurable verbs.
