This units covers speaking, writing and games suitable when teaching English. It's important to understand the difference between accuracy based activities and fluency based activities.
Part of an accuracy based activity might be drilling/repetition of some of the chosen words being taught. Here it would be important to ensure the students pronounce the words correctly. However when considering a fluency based activity such as a role-play, it is more important to let the students focus on the flow of communication as we are less concerned with accuracy here.
Writing is also a very important skill that is sometimes neglected by teachers. I am a firm believer that writing can be very helpful in learning a new language as the repetition of writing and saying the word can help students remember/store the words for later use.
