In this unit I have learned all about teaching different special groups, such as young learners, new beginners, adults, and business English. I've learned that with children, they are sometimes as not as easily motivated as other age groups, but have lots of curiosity and you need to keep your lessons fun and different to fulfill that curiosity when possible. When teaching business English to adults, motivation varies. They have probably chosen to take an English class, but most likely take a class in the evening after work and may be tired and unmotivated. I also learned how to perform a needs analysis, which asks students of their strengths and weaknesses, as well as what specific business vocabulary they may need to learn.
