This unit was particularly helpful in reminding me of the importance of writing skills. Half of the language battle is speaking, and the other half is reading/ writing. Everyday we read the street signs, write notes, and just assume that is something everyone knows how to do, so it is key when teaching a foreign language. This unit also provided many examples on how to use the ESA method to teach new vocabulary and how to involve the students in forming sentences. In this case it is very important to me that the students are involved because I firmly believe that learning from experience and working hands on is more beneficial to the students.
