The time-consuming lesson plan is not only necessary for the flow of the lesson but also helps the teacher to be prepared and be on track with the lessons according to the given syllabus or curriculum within time constraints. It also helps ensure that students systematically digest the topics studied in class. Basing the lesson plan in 3 phases I think is very helpful and allows an easier approach in the meticulous lesson planning. It helps it to become less complicated. Also as a number of units in this course kept emphasizing the fact that worksheets should only be utilized in the study phase and creative activities be on the active phase, reiterating these tips repeatedly allowing me to think over the approaches and techniques I have been using.
