This unit is very comprehensive to me so that I spent quite a long time with it. Here are some points I have learned in this unit. 1. More clear about the various methodologies. In my past learning journey, I experienced a mix of many different methodologies, like Grammar-translation, Audio-lingualism, PPP, .... I think each of them is effectively somehow. It depends on the purpose of learning English, the different age groups, and the students’ different English levels. 2. ESA. As mentioned before, I am now teaching English as well. The teaching strategy I use the most is: Warm-up, target language teaching, activities. Which is just like the ESA: warm-up is used for engaging; target language learning is for study; communicative activity is the last part. I really find this methodology good for most students. As for the different ideas of activities in this unit, I will also try to apply in my daily teaching.
