This UNit was hard like the other grammar unit and the questions were quite confusing! Number 16 doesnt even have a clear answer, because on page 2 there are only 3 examples: worked, played, hoped. The chart provided has 2 of the 4 answers on there - how do you expect us to get the right answer for that one? I had to guess on this one. The reading of that you add -ed, or d to the base form. You can't add -ed to be, catched is not a word, doed - is also not a word, so wanted is the answer. Number 12 is very confusing. The answers are worded quite funny. Past continuous is describing an action or event that has happened in the past. The thing is, these actions can continue after afterwards - as explained in the reading when it states: 1. "It can express an action, which began before the time and probably continued after that" Because of this, number 1 is not right. 4. It did not mention specifically the present time - however one can be continued to walk after saying: "HE was walking" so number 4 can be an option 2. a completed past action - that makes sense. He WAS walking. Past tense. 3. ?? confused by that answer. 1. Action in progress at a specific time in the past 2. A completed past action 3. An action that was completed before a past time 4. An action that began in the past and continues up until the present time
