I tried to remember what kind of course book I had used in my schools. In middle school, the course book is still attractive to the students. There are pictures and songs on it. But in senior high school and unitversity, the course books are actually quite boring. Now in my training school, we don’t have a fixed course book, which is not very good. Because a lot of students still want it and feed disappointed when we tell them there isn’t one.
The teaching materials are quite necessary. They add a lot of fun in the class, and also help to change the class dynamics sometimes. I like to use the crosswords and the word search for the study phase. And role play or other flash cards in the engage and activate phase. It’s great there are some other websites shared, so that I can find more materials in the future.
