In this unit, It's really good to see the real examples of the lessons. First of all, it's quite important for the teacher to bring the positive energy into the classroom, at the same time, always use encouraging language, which helps to build the whole classroom environment. Then, it's easy to tell how the engage part helps students get involved, and start to think and talk in English. Next point is to grade language. I notice in the first class, the teacher tries to elicit the target language by saying if the actions are necessary or acceptable, which makes the students confused and not confident. Clear board writing is helpful in the study phase as well. One good method the teacher give 2/3 students one worksheet for them to write and talk at the same time. Last but not least, how the teacher does the concept checking before the activities impresses me a lot. The successful concept checking questions enable the students to understand what they need to do in the activities, and interact effectively. Thanks the teacher Simon for the 2 class demonstration. The methodology I learned in the previous units are more clear for me now!
