Course books save so much time and effort from researching and designing a syllabus to follow and implement in class. However, I agree that it is best to supplement such with authentic or created supporting materials and resource books in order for the lessons to be more interesting, relevant and practical. The right combination ensures that needs and interests of students are met, allowing efficiency in the learning-teaching process.
