In this unit, it was very interesting to go review different theories of teaching. Being a teacher myself and having taught for five years, I have found theories that I like but am always trying to learn more. I like that this course is based on "Engage, Study, & Activate". I didn't think to check before I purchased the course but am happy that it is in fact based on this theory because it is what I am comfortable with. When students are motivated, really exposed to the language and use it a lot during the lesson, I believe that retention is better and that the overall learning is enhanced. It is exciting to me to see students discover new concepts for themselves and help them be brave to try using the new with the old concepts learned.
