With this unit covering the importance of tests and examinations, it points out the variety of uses a test may have. There are also a variety of tests that a teacher can use will evaluating a class. The first diagnostic or placement test at the beginning to see what level the students may be at. Then, offering continual progress or diagnostic tests to evaluate the retention of information being provided. If the scores are satisfactory then the teacher can either increase the level or continue at their regular pace. However, if the tests are less than satisfactory perhaps the teacher needs to asses their teaching style or profile to greater assist the students and slow down the content exposure.
