Unit 9 focuses on the essential art of lesson planning in the teaching of English as a foreign language. Through the content of this unit I have come to understand that there is an important balance to a lesson plan and it is vital to find this balance that lies between structure and flexibility. I now also have an idea of what a lesson plan should include and how to go about monitoring and evaluating myself as a teacher. Through the examples of lesson plans provided here, I have been introduced to the structure and general flow of each class and each lesson.
