Fail to prepare, prepare to fail. As to anything we do in life, we need preparation. Whether it be preparing for a job interview, raising kids, and even retirement. Big or small things in life need preparation. This stands true even with our daily jobs as a teacher. As an ALT myself, I believe a good English session requires 50 percent preparation and 50 percent knowledge. However, we have to take note that every lesson plan needs a balance of teacher-student focus and a good mixture of flexibility to avoid being too rigid.
