Unit 4 focused on using the present tenses. There are four forms of present tense; the present simple, present continuous, present perfect, and present perfect continous. The present simple involves the subject + base form of the verb. Present simple often involves the word do/don't to show negative or ask a question. Present simple is often used for facts or statements. The present continuous involves using the verb be with the verb + ing. Often used to describe an action currently being done. The present perfect uses the verb have with the past participle form of a verb. Often used to recall to a action that was finished in the past. The present perfect continuous uses the verb have + been + verb +ing. This form is used to talk about how long an action has occurred.
