This unit focused on classroom management and various aspects to keep in mind when setting up the classroom. It is easy to forget that the learning environment does affect the academic performance of the students. Before, I was under the impression it was better to keep close to the students and be watching constantly so that if help is needed I can step in. However, after reading this chapter I realized that is not necessary and that giving space is just as important in certain situations.
