This unit was helpful in parsing out the different uses of past tenses. The gray boxes indicating affirmative, negative, and question forms of the past test laid out the correct uses of different verbs in different sentences. I thought that describing the reasons for using each form - past simple, past continuous, past perfect, and past perfect continuous, was challenging, and I will have to do further review on this. In example, the past perfect continuous description includes the idea that it is not clear whether the action is still occurring, which is also an idea in the past continuous.
