The only thing that makes the future tenses slightly more difficult is the fact that there are more of them than the other two. This is especially true when we consider that there are two present tenses that can be considered future tenses depending upon their usages. The future simple, continuous, perfect, and perfect continuous tenses are easy to understand after learning the past and present versions as the forms and usages are a lot alike. Now that the tense units have been wrapped up, I've been thinking about the best way to present this information. I see how learning them in sections of past, present, and future can help section information. However, since the they are very similar, perhaps sectioning it off by the types of tenses can help to make the information seem less daunting. So for example, I would spend time going over our simple tenses, starting from past and ending on future, and then using the same method for teaching continuous and so on and so forth.
