I have learned methodologies and challenges for teaching a new language from this unit. I learned that again, the "Engage, Study, Activate" (ESA) method is very beneficial as it allows the students to become excited about the material (engaging), learn it (study), and then use it in real life (activate). This is helpful for vocabulary, grammar, and general language structures because they all work together, so especially the "activate" phase will allow the students to combine all that they know and get creative with using the language. This unit also taught me suggested activities for each ESA stage when teaching vocabulary and grammar.
