In this unit, we observed the same teacher teach the same class in two separate videos. Clearly the second video the teacher had an effective way of teaching while in the first video the teacher made basic mistakes. In the second video, the teacher's attitude was much more pleasant and positive. We could see this because the students attitude was also much more positive. They were willing to participate and seemed to enjoy the class. The teacher smiled a lot and used the students names to get them involved in class participation. His instructions in the second video were much more clear than in the first video. The students understood what was expected of them. He often gave examples and wrote on the board to show what he was teaching. In this unit we learned that a teacher's attitude has a big impact on how a classroom atmosphere will evolve.
