This unit taught me the subtle nuances between the various future tenses. Teaching any type of "tense" (whether it is past, present, or future) is very difficult. After working in Japan for two years I have learned that my students are not formally taught "tense" in their Japanese classes. This adds an additional challenge as "tense" is an important grammar point. This unit has challenged me to think about the various types of future tense and understand the basic key points to focus on when teaching this topic so that my students may be able to understand it.
