In this unit I learned a lot of the techniques, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of teaching materials. Specifically, about authentic versus created materials. There are many advantages and disadvantages to both, and it was seems that a combination of using both types of materials would be beneficial for a classroom. This is because that way the teacher could use some created materials which have a steady and already tested syllabus and learning plan, but by incorporating some authentic materials, the teacher could make the classroom more topical and motivating sometimes. These techniques can easily be incorporated into any classroom using the Engage - Study - Activate method as well.
