Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

This unit was focused on modal auxiliary verbs, passive voice, phrasal verbs, and relative clauses. Modal auxiliary verbs include: may, might, need to, needn't, must, would, have to, have got to, shall, should, will, ought to, could, can, and be able to. The modal auxiliary verbs help to add meaning to the main verbs in the sentence, and each modal has a different level of formality and usage. Passive voice is also used in English to focus on the object as opposed to active voice, which focuses on the agent of the sentence. In both active and passive voice, the tense of the sentence remains the same. There are also three types of phrasal verbs - type 1 intransitive, type 2 transitive separable, and type 3 transitive inseparable. Each phrasal verb has a different structure, and they can change the meaning of the verb in the sentence. Lastly, relative clauses can be separated into defining and non-defining clauses, in which the information provided in a defining relative clause is essential, and the information provided in a non-defining relative clause is not essential to the meaning of the sentence. In this unit, I learned a lot about how modal verbs work in a sentence and the differences between defining relative and non-defining relative clauses. I also learned how to better explain the structure of passive voice, and how phrasal verbs can be defined.
