Wow, the first video had me cringing at the teacher's laziness, and the way he would address the students. It was much better watching the second video. In my own experience, I've had teachers, not as extreme, but with the lack of enthusiasm as the first video showed, and it takes a lot more self discipline to learn in that kind of environment. Not every student can just ignore the teacher and help themselves, plus that's not how it's suppose to be! The teacher is suppose to be your guide on this language journey! I set out to help the needs of my students as best I can, and through interactive lesson plans, like the second video. I want the students to be aware that I am not there to put them down in a language they're unaware of, because any language without guidance can feel overwhelming. I want to be a figure that can show them the context of the information I want them to learn, but not by just handing it to them, but by laying a path well suited to their language needs. Give them the concept, but have them think about how to form it on their own. Obviously, providing a helpful hand when needed.
