In this unit, we mainly focused on vocabulary , grammar and functions. At the beginning, we have known that students will feel the vocabulary easy or difficult depending on some factors, such as the similarity to students' own language and English words already known, spelling, pronunciation and so on. And also when we select vocabulary, there are some factors to be considered. Besides, students also need to know some knowledge about new vocabulary. Meanwhile, introduced some ideas for vocabulary teaching during different stages and typical "Straight Arrow" vocabulary lesson. In the following part, mentioned grammatical structures and some techniques for presenting and practising language structures, patchwork grammar lesson as well. Eventually, learned kinds of functions, like inviting, refusing, agreeing, disagreeing and suggesting, the typical boomerang function lesson, too.
