This unit was about the major parts of speech used in the English language. The major parts were nouns, adjectives, articles, verbs, adverbs, gerunds, pronouns, prepositions and conjunctions. These are the identifiers used towards words used in the correct grammatical style in sentences and the mastery of them is the foundation to the English language. Nouns name people, places, things, qualities and states. There are many types, such as countable and uncountable. Adjectives are used to describe nouns such as people and things. There are superlative adjectives and comparative adjectives, the difference between the adjectives is if there are more or less than two people. There are many more rules and differences in each part of speech.
