This unit briefly covered some topics relating to "Teaching new Language". It touched upon how to teach, and what is important to remember when introducing new language such as vocabulary, grammatical structures, and language functions. I noticed similarites between vocabulary teaching and teaching grammatical structures in that in both, students must learn meanings, usages, pronunciation and spelling etc. Teachers must choose new language that is appropriate for the students' levels. This unit provived sample lesson plans as examples which I found very useful and helpful to get a sense of how topics are introduced, taught, and reinforced through ESA methods.
