Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

This unit includes the two videos: one lesson is being taught effectively while in the other lesson, the same teacher is deliberately making a number of basic errors. It can be easily seen that the students participate effectively in the second lesson while they are confused and intimidated in the first one. The attitude of the teacher affects the students in the two lessons. Therefore, as a teacher, we should have a positive and engaging attitude to have the students respond with a high level of participation. Every lesson should start with the Engage stage and end with an Activate one. In the first lesson, there was no Engage part which causes the feeling of discouragement and boredom. The fact that the lesson was more student-centered definitely made it even more effective. Giving a clear explanation of the lesson point is also important to save time and allow everyone to understand what they should do next. The second lesson is more effective because it was clearly more structured and well-prepared than lesson one. The teacher was more engaging and encouraging in lesson two. There were clear instructions before every activity, which were definitely lacking in lesson one. The teacher made an effort to learn and use his students’ names. The class was delivered using simple language making it easier to understand. Flashcards and body language were also utilized which made it more interesting. Students had more opportunities to practice speaking English and interact with other students. They were more motivated to participate in the class activities. However, I’m of the opinion that these two lessons are just examples for us to understand and notice the problems may have during a lesson. We can build better lesson plans of our own and create our own teaching style.
