I have home-schooled my children for 11 years, so fortunately I knew the grammar very well. However, it was a good refresher for me and I saw it differently this time, as I know I will be teaching this grammar to people who don't yet speak English, which is much more difficult than teaching my own children who obviously do speak English. I can appreciate the difficulty with which my upcoming students will have to learn all the exceptions to our rules!
