I learned that students should not be corrected during the greetings/engage stage. I think that I can get away with positive corrections. If the class says something slightly wrong, then I can say "good, let's repeat" and have them repeat the correct form of the statement. I also learned to focus on positive points when correcting students. So start by saying something positive, give the correction, then end on another positive note. I liked that this pdf gave a lot of examples on how to engage the class during every step.
