This unit focuses on the four major present tenses, present simple, present continuous, present perfect, and present perfect continuous. All four have different usages and forms, but all four also have similarities. While there must be subject and a verb in every sentence, the verb used is different and the form changes after that. In present simple it has to have a subject and then the base form of the verb. In present continuous the form is subject, auxiliary verb 'be', verb, and then -ing. In present perfect the sentence starts with the subject, then auxiliary verb 'have' and he past participle. In the present perfect continuous the form is the subject, auxiliary verb 'have', been, verb, and -ing. All sentences have different usages as well, but most are centered around frequency and time. There are easy mistakes and errors to make so as the teacher I must be vigilante on where my students will require help.
