The second lesson is much more effective than the 1st one. The teacher introduced himself, leant the names of the students to have better rapport; used 3 phases: ESA. He engaged every student in the classroom, elicited the information from his students, made sure the students' pronunciation was correct, gave clear explanations about the activities students were going to participate in, monitored the class, used a mingle activity to activate new grammar knowledge, thanked for the lesson. In the first lesson, the teacher skipped the engage phase, didn't mind his pronunciation, criticised the students who were late distracting the students in the classroom; instead of giving explanations he kept asking questions. The students were confused when asked to stand up as far as the teacher hadn't explained anything. The teacher kept showing his irritation when he couldn't receive responds from his students, and left the class without saying anything.
