Phonetic scripts are new for me. I didn't have that much difficulty in them. I just finished reading a Chinese book. Students with speech impediments have a difficult time doing this. I think advanced or upper elementary stage would be best for teaching this. I have a feeling we will have fun in class. My students often add "u" in every word they see. eg. Book is Booku. It takes forever to teach and solve this problem.
