I found this unit to be very interesting and useful in terms of understanding how a language instructor should behave and in what manner they should engage and carry out a lesson with students. The first video was clearly a video of what not to do in class. The instructor in the first video was dull, not engaging, and assumed students understood his lesson although they clearly were confused at several points in the lesson. I learned form the second video that it is important to be kind, friendly, positive, and engaging. I also learned that it's important to learn names and build a fun and friendly learning environment.
