This was a good lesson. It fleshes out the on-paper lessons well. You can see the awkwardness when the teacher has the wrong approach in the first video or demonstrates his bad attitude. Some of the lesson still came through but not nearly as smoothly as the second video. In the first video, he's rude, rushes through things during the Engage phase without any prompts written on the board at the beginning, and seems generally out of touch. When the students come in late, he over-stresses their lateness. In the second video, he's much more pleasant and patient, uses the board more effectively (and puts stuff on the board ahead of time), uses physical artifacts like images to elicit answers from the students effectively, and gets the students talking more. The difference is night and day.
