I feel that lesson planning in written form would have very positive results for teaching. It could be helpful for referring to the document during the lesson. It would most likely help the teacher keep on target of the main focus points of the lesson. It could also be an important record of what has been done in class to facilitate a substitute teacher by not repeating a previous lesson and to go forward with the progress of the students. Lesson planning surely makes a class easier to teach and perhaps more interesting. The one drawback I see with lesson planning is that it could make the teacher less flexible when the stucture of the lesson needs to change for whatever reason. But, for inexperienced teachers especially, it could be a very important preparation tool.
