I believe that this unit provided framework for the class room through laying out what is expected of both the teacher and learner, what makes a good teacher and learner, and some background on the learner such as motivations, levels, and other factors like age or culture. The situation questions at the end of the test also provided insight into why some problems may be happening in the class such as the teacher setting a bad example for the class or not being as culturally aware as they should have been. I feel that I now know more about the wide range of prospective learners when it comes to teaching and will be more prepared for how to go about approaching, structuring, and communicating in these various group lessons. I also learned more about the specific roles of a teacher and how they must be all used in order to have the best possible mix of educational experiences, but I feel as though examples of how each different role could be used more or less for the different age and ability groups would have been helpful.
