This unit talks about conditionals and reported speech. First, let’s talk about conditionals. There are 5 main conditionals in English language. First one is zero conditional which is about the actions which doesn’t need a proof. Second is first conditional that refers to the future if the present action becomes true. Third is a second conditional that talk about unreal situation which is not going to happen. Next one is third conditional that is about hypothetical past action that happened in the past and the condition didn’t become real. The last one is mixed conditional which is the mix of second and third conditional, and the action is also hypothetical both in the past and present. Now let’s look at reported speech which literally means that one person reports another person speech. The main thing to a person should know about reported speech is that the reported speech goes one tense back. For example, presents simple speech becomes past simple, past simple becomes past perfect but past perfect remains past perfect as there is no tense preceding this one.
