There are two part in unit 16, one is conditionals and the other is reported speech. In my eyes, these two parts belong to grammar. Firstly, there are 5 kinds of conditionals and we can distinguish zero, first and second easily and they are often used. Students would be a bit confused with mixed conditional, but after thinking carefully, it is not that hard to obtain. Secondly, we talk about reported speech. There is a clear form to tell us to transform different tenses. The question is that we don’t always follow it strictly when we speak. Even in the course book, it is right to say “ Lily said that she is a good cook.”
