Video lessons - two lessons - this unit presents two video lessons, one that is bad and one that is good. It is actually the same lesson taught to the same class by the same teacher. In the first video, the teacher does not go by the ESA methodology, he deliberately makes several mistakes in teaching, but in the second video he does, in the second lesson the teacher goes through all the stages of teaching a lesson. In the first video, he did not present himself, there was no teaching point introduced and, therefore, all the students got confused right from the very beginning of the lesson. In the second video, he presented himself, there were sentences written on the board before the lesson actually started, and the teaching point was presented at the beginning. So in the second video the teacher came with the rigth attitude in the classroom, which made all the difference compared to the first video. I have learnt in this unit that having a good lesson plan is very important. Having the right attitude, being flexible and organized are key elements in teaching a good lesson.
