In this unit I learned about eye contact, gesture, and voice; grouping students; classroom arrangement; teacher talking time vs student talking time; establishing rapport; and maintaining discipline. I learned the importance of all these factors so that we as teachers effectively help students learn, and get involved in the classroom.
I think all this information is very important to learn to have more effective lessons. As I read this unit, I could identify all this information as a student in all my different classes throughout my life. I could recognize that most of the activities mentioned in this unit and used by the different teachers I've had, have helped me in learning the different things I have had to learn in my classes. So knowing this shows me how effective this information really is.
