The contents in Unit 1 includes how to be a good teacher, a good learner; the roles for teachers; the detail analysis on learners; the language levels.
For me, through studying this unit, I think the most useful part I’ve learnt is the roles for teachers and the language levels. When I’m teaching in class, I mostly play the role as organizer, assessor and prompter, but hardly participant. I think in the future, if I sometimes play as a participant in several activities, I might have a better rapport and interaction with class. And secondly, by studying the details of language level, I can categorize my students’ language level more clearly, in order to design more suitable classes for them.
