Through this unit, managing classes, I was able to learn the qualities that effect the atmosphere of a classroom. The way a teacher speaks can help bring an inviting fun feeling to a room and establish a good reputation among students.The use of eye contact and gestures is also critical. Gestures used should be ones that are internationally understood. All students names should be learned and used as well. The atmosphere of the class can also be affected by the class setup and how students are grouped. Different groupings and arrangements can affect discipline, as well as class atmosphere and how the teacher is viewed. Some, but not all, discipline issues can be prevented if all of the above is done properly
