Unit 9 - Lesson Planning. The unit presents the important functions of lesson writing: 1) an aid to planning; 2) a working document; 3) a record of what the class has done and which materials have been used. The unit focusses on how a lesson plan should be written down and what a lesson plan should contain. Any lesson plan should contain the following: learner objectives, personal aims, language point, teaching aids, anticipated problems (for the students and the teacher), procedure, phase, timing, interaction, class level, number of students, date/time, teacher's and observer's notes. The unit also contains a lesson plan. I have learnt that too much planning is not a good idea, therefore I choose to make my lesson plans as simple as possible.
