There are many general methods and techniques to teach and learn a foreign language. The main goal of many of these methods is to replicate as much as possible the natural learning that we all experience with our native language. The unit revolves around the ESA method, and its various forms, stressing the importance of the role of each phase in order to have a successful and useful lesson. In my opinion, choosing the correct methodology is one of the most crucial aspects of teaching, since it constitutes the bone structure of the lessons, and mostly defines the outcome of the teaching/learning process.
