In this unit I learned about lesson planning and it's importance. Lesson planning helps to form learning goals, keep lessons on track, and can serve as a record of what was done or what worked well. It is good to have a basic structure and stick to it, keeping things simple, organized and balanced. It is good to keep in mind the objectives and aims for yourself as the teacher and for the student. Lesson planning is a great tool to keep the teacher organized and prepared for any problems or issues that may arrive throughout a lesson. It can help plan in advance some projected issues and their solutions. It is also important for teachers to evaluate themselves, lesson plans allow teachers to look back on what went well and what didn't and where things can be improved. Self evaluation sheets can help aid in a teacher's own development.
