In this unit I have been introduced to way of teaching vocabulary words, grammatical structures and language functions. When teaching vocabulary words, it is crucial to keep in mind what students need to know about a new vocabulary word. Those items include meaning, use, word grammar, interaction, spelling and pronunciation. Vocabulary words can also be subdivided into two categories: receptive( words the student knows but doesn't use) and productive( words the student knows and uses).
